Jeremiah D. O'Connell, is the School's Principal and also doubles as the English Master for Senior Secondary School One (1) level.
Reverend Father O'Connell arrived from Ireland in 1961 and taught for a few years at the St. Columbos Secondary School, Gkwen in the then (put old state name here).
Given his dilligence and love for hard and smart work, he rose to become Principal of the St. Maladys Teacher's College Bosso in 1964 and Principal of Fatima Secondary School in 1964 and Government Secondary School Minna since 1973 ( to date).
He has taught Geography, Mathematics, Latin, CRS, Literature in English and Latin Literature in his very long career.
This man of many years of experience is motivated when students realise their capabilities and strive to reach their full capacities in life. He stops at nothing to see that his boys grow into men of integrity aware of their many talents. He equally is a source of motivation for teachers and other staff of the school.
Father, as many (including students, Staff and people in the Minna metropolis) called this amiable elder speaks Hausa, pidgin english and some other local languages fluently.
